Water Remover, Speaker Cleaner — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 10, 2026
Water Remover, Speaker Cleaner ("the App") is developed by Mobile Card Games & Travel Apps LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected.
1. Data We Collect
Water Remover plays water-ejection and speaker-cleaning tones generated entirely on your device — the core feature involves no data collection at all. The App collects:
- Microphone test recording (optional): If you run the optional Microphone Check diagnostic, the App records about 5 seconds of audio to a local file, measures the audio levels on your device to score sensitivity, clarity, and background noise, and never transmits the recording or the scores anywhere. Microphone access is used only for this test, never for the cleaning tones.
- Diagnostic history and settings: Test scores and preferences, stored locally on your device.
- Purchase information: Transaction records for subscriptions and passes, managed by Apple and RevenueCat. Purchase and renewal events (product, price, currency, transaction identifier) are also logged to Firebase Analytics — see below.
- Install attribution: Whether the App was installed via an Apple Search Ads campaign (see Third-Party Data Sharing).
The App does not collect your name, email address, location, photos, or contacts, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and shows no ads.
2. Third-Party Data Sharing
Your microphone recordings and diagnostic results are never shared with anyone. The third parties involved are:
- Apple: Processes purchases; the App never sees your payment card details. The App also requests an attribution token from Apple's AdServices framework to measure which Apple Search Ads campaign led to the install. This token contains no personal information, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and is used in aggregate to understand which campaigns work.
- RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Manages subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase transaction tokens and a random anonymous app-user ID — never your name or email.
- Google Firebase Analytics (Google privacy policy): The Firebase SDK collects usage and session data (app opens, session duration) together with device information and a randomly generated app-instance identifier, and the App logs purchase and subscription-renewal events (product identifier, price, currency, transaction identifier) together with the anonymous Apple Search Ads campaign attribution, so we can measure which campaigns produce revenue. No microphone audio, no name, email, or phone number is sent to Firebase.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- On your device: Diagnostic test history, settings, and the temporary microphone-test file are stored locally. The 5-second test recording exists only for on-device analysis and is not transmitted; it is replaced each time you run the test.
- iCloud: Your subscription status is mirrored across your devices via Apple iCloud key-value storage tied to your Apple ID; we cannot access it. No recordings or diagnostic data are synced.
- On our servers: None. We operate no custom backend; the only outbound data is the purchase-event and attribution logging described above.
- Deletion: uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data, including the diagnostic history and the temporary microphone-test file.
4. Data Security
All network traffic (Apple attribution requests, Firebase Analytics events, purchase processing) is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Audio from the Microphone Check never leaves your device.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Deny microphone access at any time in iOS Settings — the cleaning tones work without it; only the optional Microphone Check requires it.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings at any time.
- Remove all locally stored App data by uninstalling the App.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. Because we do not hold your data on servers we operate, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete on request — deleting the App deletes your data. Where the App does process data in transit, or a third-party service described above collects data, you may contact us at the email below to exercise your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In some regions, including the European Union, a higher minimum age applies to consent for data processing; the same statement applies there — we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age.
7. Data Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting user data on any system we operate, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
